Feb. 13 Expert Panel on "Young People, Racial Identity and School"

Presented by the HCCS K-12 Mosaic Committee. 6:30-8:30 pm, Monday, February 13, in the Auditorium
Speakers will be Khalil Muhamad, director of the New York Public Library’s Schomburg Center, Margaret Chin, Hunter College Professor of Sociology and HCHS parent, and Jessica Forsyth, Teacher’s College Professor of Psychology and HCHS/HCES alumna, with moderator David Joffe of the HCHS History Department. The event will begin with light refreshments outside the auditorium from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., followed by brief presentations from the speakers drawing on their own experiences as well as their research. Mr. Joffe will then lead a discussion between the panelists and the audience, until about 8:30 p.m. All members of the campus schools’ community are welcome!
