Black Lives Matter rep to speak at Mosaic's first meeting Sept. 22

Mosaic, Hunter’s K-12 parent-run diversity committee, welcomes Black Lives Matter representative Shannon Shird on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 8:30 a.m. in the HCCS cafeteriaShird, most recently a community initiatives coordinator at Brooklyn Arts Council, earned her  B.A. in History and International Affairs from Smith College and her M.S. in 2014 at The New School’s Graduate Program in International Affairs focusing on cities, social justice, and the Black Diaspora. She previously served as a volunteer coordinator at Baltimore’s Court Appointed Special Advocates. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact mosaic@hunterpta.org.
