Nominate Your Top Teachers for The Blackboard Awards

Nominations Due March 31st

The Blackboard Awards identifies and honors NYC's best educators. It recognizes all the wonderful teachers who make such a big difference in the lives of our children. Hunter College High School is filled with such educators. Parents, students, faculty, and administration are welcome to nominate Hunter College High School teachers who positively impact our students in special ways. Nominations are due by March 31, 2011. To nominate, or for more information, visit

The Blackboard Awards honors local teachers from all educational communities—public, private, charter and parochial—and all grade levels, from nursery school through high school. Teachers appreciate the recognition and are gratified to be in the company of other dedicated educators from around the city, and are pleased to be able to share the honor with their school community. Winners are publicized and the schools' reputations benefit from every faculty member who is a Blackboard Award recipient.

After the nominations are reviewed, the selected teachers will be honored in a special gala ceremony on June 6 at Fordham University Law School, attended by leading educators, politicians, and other local dignitaries. The teachers' family, friends, colleagues, parents and students will be welcome and encouraged to attend!
