HCCS Summer Athletic Programs Include Fencing, Volleyball, Fitness Training

There's still a few weeks left for your child to learn some new athletic skills this summer. Read on to find out about the summer athletic offerings at Hunter College High School. 

  • Hunter fencing clinics are open each Saturday and Mondays at 3 p.m. to HCHS boys and girls grades 6-12; learn from Hunter's city championship coaches, Nadia and Eugene Nazarov. For more information, and to sign up, email nazarov15@hotmail.com.
  • There's a two-day volleyball clinic with coach Fox and coach Bello, Aug. 15 and 16, 10 am-1 pm and 2-5 pm, open to student-athletes grades 6-12. It costs $100 and includes a free volleyball tee shirt. Email elfox@hccs.hunter.cuny.edu for more information and to confirm a spot.
  • Last, Hunter Athletics and Plan to Excel are offering a holistic athletic training program for 6th-12th grade students (including friends outside of HCCS community) that will focus on tournament play, strength, speed, agility, and injury prevention, among other topics.
