Jan. 15: Talk by The New Yorker's Fiction Editor, Deborah Treisman

Please join us for a "Hunter Talks" evening with HCES parent Deborah Treisman, Fiction Editor of The New Yorker. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, 6:30-8:00 pm, Auditorium. Ms. Treisman will be interviewed by HCHS English teacher Richard Roundy, followed by an audience Q&A. Light refreshments will be served at 6:00 pm. Hunter Talks are organized by the HCES PTA. Deborah Treisman became Fiction Editor of The New Yorker in 2003.  She joined The New Yorker as Deputy Fiction Editor in 1997.  Previously, Ms. Treisman was the Managing Editor of Grand Street, and served as a member of the editorial staffs of The New York Review of Books, Harper's, and The Threepenny Review.  Her translations have appeared in The New Yorker, The Nation, Harper's, and Grand Street.  She is the host of the award-winning New Yorker Fiction Podcast, the editor of the anthology "20 Under 40: Stories from The New Yorker," and a Chevalier of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.  Ms. Treisman was born in Oxford, England, and attended the University of California at Berkeley.
