Mosaic to Host Community Service Night on Wednesday, Oct. 15

If your Hunter student is looking for ways to fulfill his or her 75 hour community service requirement, or if you would like to find community service opportunities for your whole family, don't miss the Second Annual Community Service Night on Wednesday, October 15, from 6-8 pm in the Auditorium. This event, hosted by the HCHS PTA Community Service Committee in conjunction with Mosaic, the Hunter K–12 Diversity Committee, will feature administrators, students, and representatives of various community service organizations. DOROT enables the elderly to live fulfilled and independent lives through a variety of intergenerational programs. Volunteer families deliver care packages and visit with the elderly, who live by themselves.
The ASPCA has a foster care program that gives animals that are not yet ready for adoption a chance to live in short-term, transitional homes. 
Xavier Mission feeds more than a thousand people at its Sunday Welcome Table.  Volunteers of all ages can help prepare the Sunday meal that morning.
Attendees can take home literature and sign up for upcoming volunteer events, either with their individual families or as groups that can participate together.
