You're Invited: Black History Month Event & Dialogue on Thursday, Feb. 16

Please join us for a Black History Month presentation and dialogue on Thursday, February 16, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm in the Hunter Auditorium.

The evening will expand the Black History discussion by examining aspects of celebration as well as historical omission. The goal is to re-imagine contemporary life with Black History playing a more central role in American educational, historical and cultural narrative.

The event, sponsored jointly by Mosaic and PAAC, will feature Dr. Josef Sorett, professor of African American studies at Columbia University, and Bridget Kelso Anthony, community activist and lecturer on intersectionality.

The speakers also hope to focus on student and parent questions about the subject, and especially how it pertains to the Hunter community. If parents have questions in advance, please submit them to carlgarrison@manhattanchurch.org , and we will make sure they are addressed.
