Parenting in the Digital Age: Topic of Nov. 10 PTA Meeting

7pm, Wednesday, November 10 (November PTA Meeting)

Social networking, a teen's growing independence and need for privacy, access to questionable content, what are appropriate behaviors, how much is too much?

A student panel will give us an inside look at what sites they visit on the internet and how they communicate with friends, followed by an explanation of real life school scenarios that have played out as a result of these new technologies from principal Tony Fisher and assistant principal Lisa Siegmann. We'll round out the evening with expert advice from New York adolescent psychiatrist Dr. David Ott on issues of boundaries, privacy, and the development and encouragement of independency.

Please note: school bus transportation will be provided to 12 stops in Queens after the meeting.
