Notes from Parent & Alumni Interviews with Principal Candidates

As part of the Principal Search process, four finalists were invited to campus to tour the school and meet with various constituencies. As part of their visit, each finalist met with a group of PTA Board members and alumni. Each was asked a pre-set list of questions and, if time allowed, also answered additional unscripted questions. Andy McCord, an HCHS parent and Mosaic Committee chair, took notes at each of these sessions. A summary of each candidate's responses to these questions is available by clicking on the names below. As announced by HCHS Director Randy Collins, the finalists were:

  • Dr. Tony Fisher, Acting Principal, Hunter College High School
  • Ben Shuldiner, founder and principal, The High School for Public Service, Brooklyn, NY
