THANK YOU! for a Successful Family Community Service Day in Riverside Park

On Saturday, June 8, over 40 members of the HCCS Community (HCES students and their parents, plus HCHS volunteers) devoted several hours to cleaning up an entrance area to Riverside Park, at 148th Street. Students and parents picked up weeds, up-ended large (and pesty) tree trunks that needed to be cleared, and painted fences. The event was organized by Hunter’s Parents of African American Children (PAAC), in conjunction with the Riverside Park Conservancy. Hunter supplied the person-power and the Conservancy supplied gloves, shovels and paint.  A successful collaboration all the way around.  Click here for photos from the day!
